Heaton Park is conveniently situated adjacent to the motorway network and has good public transport links. The M60 Manchester Ring Road passes next to the Park and Jct 19 is adjacent with the connecting A576 passing the entrance on Middleton Road. Car parking is available at Smithy Lodge, 1st right after leaving the motorway. Buses from the city centre, including the 59, stop at the gates on Middleton Road next to the tramway terminus. For those wishing to use Metrolink, Heaton Park Station is a short walk through the Park from the lakeside terminus of the tramway, Metrolink trams run every 12 minutes from Manchester City Centre on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
